Description

Kavalan Conductor, also known as King Car Conductor, is Kavalan's premium blend of various single malt whiskies. This expression represents the Taiwanese distillery's mastery of blending and offers a complex take on the Kavalan style.

Kavalan Conductor is a sophisticated and complex whisky that perfectly exemplifies the art of Kavalan blending. It combines the best aspects of different types of maturation, creating a harmonious and balanced whole. This whisky offers a rich flavour experience that reflects the unique maturation conditions in Taiwan, while retaining the elegance and depth expected of a premium single malt whisky.

Nose: Rich and multi-layered. Opening notes of tropical fruits, particularly mango and papaya, mingle with hints of vanilla and caramel. Subtle oak notes, spicy hints and a touch of dried fruit can be detected in the background.

Taste: On the tongue, it is full-bodied and creamy. First impressions bring a sweetness of tropical fruit and vanilla, which is balanced by a subtle spiciness and oak notes. Hints of honey, dried apricots and a touch of sherry emerge. The flavour profile is complex and well-structured, revealing new layers with every sip.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering fruity notes, subtle sweetness and a pleasant woodiness.

About Kavalan

Yuan Shan Distillery, which is the first distillery in Taiwan, is located in the northeastern part of the country in Yilan County, just one hour away from Taipei, the capital and largest city of Taiwan. The name 'Kavalan' comes from the oldest tribe that inhabited the area.

The distillery is located on a plateau between two mountains, on a site where the company already had a mineral water plant. Construction of the distillery began in April 2005 and was completed in December of the same year! First distillation began in March 2006 and the distillery was commissioned with the help of Dr Jim Swan, also known for his work with Kilchoman, Penderyn and Annandale.
