Description

You don't come across Swiss whisky often, but Langatun is one of the most famous. The family behind Langatun has a distilling heritage dating back to 1857, but Old Crow is its first peated whisky. The malt used to make it is specially peat-smoked and smoke-dried from burnt peat to fully absorb the aroma.

Aroma: Fires, tobacco and peat with a hint of heather.

Taste: smoky and salty, red wine and dark chocolate.

Finish: long and lingering notes of sweet smoke, tobacco, dark chocolate and peanut butter.

About Langatun

Langatun is a Swiss distillery located in the town of Aarwangen, specialising in the production of single malt whisky. The name 'Langatun' is the Celtic version of the name Langenthal, a historical settlement dating back to 861, which translates as 'fortified place on the river Langa'. . The distillery continues the distilling tradition founded by Jakob Baumberger in 1857, using excellent water from a pristine spring and carefully selected raw materials.

It is thanks to a thoughtful distillation process and careful cask selection that Langatun single malts acquire their incomparably smooth, complex and delicate character. This distillery has gradually established itself as Switzerland's largest whisky producer, thanks to a loyal and ever-growing fan base.
