Starward is so good at making single malt whisky aged in red wine casks. The new release, Unexpeated, has been finished in very peaty Islay whisky casks to bring together two very different worlds in one delicious whisky.
Nose: The nose is very tropical and fruity, with medicinal peat, cocoa and toasty oak.
Taste: Juicy red berries, coastal saltiness, caramel apple, milk chocolate and hints of smoke.
