Description

For the annual autumn Sherry Cask Reserve series, five Fino sherry casks were assembled from stock, three were filled with pot still and two contained lighter column still.

Sherry Fino is made from palomino grapes and is naturally light, dry and smooth. During maturation, the heavier, oily character of the more traditional pot still took on spicier, ginger notes in these barrels. While the fruitier, lighter character of this unique column still from Filey Bay gave way to a sweet, honeyed flavour. Only 2,000 bottles are available.

The whisky is fruity and spicy with flavours of ginger cake, candy, honeycomb and caramel.

About Filey Bay

Spirit of Yorkshire is an English distillery located in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire, which produces the first single malt whisky made "in and from Yorkshire".
