The Meikle Tòir range (meaning 'great pursuit' and pronounced mee-kuhl tor) includes peated whiskies produced at the GlenAllachie distillery under the guidance of legendary master distiller Billy Walker.

Meikle Tòir The Sherry One is a peated whisky produced at the GlenAllachie distillery using St. Fergus peat. The whisky has been peated to 35ppm and used a long fermentation time of 160 hours to create a fruity, complex whisky that will stand up to maturation in sherry casks. More specifically in Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry casks, after initial maturation in American oak bourbon casks. The whisky is suitable for smoke and sherry lovers.

Nose: Coffee, cedar, salted caramel, stewed plums, marmalade and cigar box aromas combine with the sweet smokiness of peat from the mainland.

Taste: Dark chocolate, butter, orange zest, dates, blackcurrant compote and burnt jam.

Finish: Mocha and dark fruits.
