An amazing single malt whisky from the 2005 vintage from the Knockando distillery in Speyside. After distillation, this whisky was left to mature for 15 years, giving it rich fruit and complex spice - perfect for evening sipping.
Nose: a blend of baked and dried fruits with sweet apple, raisins and a whiff of buttery banana balances the spicy barley.
Palate: grilled peach, caramel chocolate buttons, spicy, nutty malt and a solid oak base.
Finish: short bread leads to cinnamon, some prickly spice and rich tart spice with fruity notes of poached pear and grapes.
