Kilbeggan is named after St Bécán, one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland, who founded a monastery in the area in the 6th century. Smooth malt whiskey.
Nose: traces of sweet sherry oloroso with sweet malt overlaid on clean grain.
Palate: the malt moves freely across the palate and picks up sweet honey notes. The grain comes into play a little later and creates a smooth middle.
Finish: the dryness lingers and the true woody oak notes emerge.
