From William Grant comes Aerstone Sea Cask, a 10-year-old single malt whisky from the Ailsa Bay distillery. It hasn't spent its ten years of maturation entirely at sea, but thanks to the maturation process in warehouses by the sea on the Ayrshire coast in Scotland, it still picks up sea notes.
Nose: butterscotch, creamy vanilla, freshly baked bread, honey malt, orange citrus and a touch of cinnamon and cocoa.
Taste: floral malt, nougat, vanilla biscuit and more honey with orange sweets, icing sugar and earthy oak.
Finish: notes of cloves, candied lemon and vanilla pod linger, with a pinch of salt on the finish.
