Bombay Sapphire — another excellent dry gin of London tradition, with a rich flavour and distinctive bouquet. Its unique multiple-distillation process and a great combination of ten herbal ingredients mixed in strictly defined proportions ensure that this drink stands out from other gins.
The producer uses only the best almonds, lemon peel, licorice, juniper berries, orris root, angelica, coriander, cassia, cubeb berries and ‘grains of paradise’, each delivered from the regions with ideal environment conditions. These plants give the drink its key properties, and their imprints decorate this drink’s unusual, translucent blue glass bottle.
The bouquet unfolds with notes of juniper, citrus, spices and herbs. And the taste, despite the strength, is dry, fresh and very gentle, offering you the spicy feel of herbs, complemented with hints of lemon and juniper.
Its wide range of ingredients and full-bodied taste contributed to Bombay Sapphire receiving “The World's Best Premium Gin” award (according to the International Wine and Spirit Record company). It is literally the only British gin that usually drunk neat, using shot glasses. It can be served with meat plates or hot and cold dishes.
However, usually Bombay Sapphire is mixed with a range of juices, tonics or other alcohol, creating distinctive long-drink cocktails.
