Whisky Roseisle 12YO Cask Strength 56,5% 0,7l

Roseisle is a modern distillery in the Speyside region, opened by Diageo in 2010. It is one of the first distilleries to be designed to produce a variety of whisky styles. The distillery has 14 stills, 12 of which can switch between stainless steel and copper condensers, allowing it to create different characters of spirit. With an annual capacity of 10 million litres, Roseisle is smaller than, say, Glenfiddich, but is still one of the larger distilleries.

Roseisle uses modern technology, including a biomass energy plant and a heat recovery system, significantly reducing its carbon footprint. The distillery currently produces a predominantly light, grassy style of whisky, which is different from Diageo's other distilleries. Despite initial concerns, Roseisle has not been the reason for the closure of smaller distilleries, but instead has ushered in a new era of distillery building in Scotland.
