Talisker Skye was introduced in early 2015 and named after the beautiful island on which the distillery is located. This expression brings with it a more balanced and sweeter flavour profile full of fresh citrus, sweet smoke, peppery spice and the traditional Talisker marine notes.

Talisker Skye is aged in a combination of refill and toasted American oak barrels, with a slightly higher proportion of toasted barrels. Talisker Skye is ideal for those who may find the classic Talisker flavour profile a little too much, but that doesn't mean Talisker fans won't enjoy it.

Aroma: Sweets, butterscotch and vanilla ice cream up front. Gradually becomes more and more honeyed. There's also a little coastal influence, maybe just a hint of sweet Caol Ila, with a very restrained smoke.

Taste: Toasty oak, woody, just a little spice and smoke, apples and hints of lemon. Fennel Seeds.

Finish: Drier and slightly less sweet, hints of spice and smoke.
