Initially released for travel retail, this eight-year-old from Tomatin has been aged in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, resulting in a whisky with notes of apples, pears, ginger and cinnamon.
Nose: Green apple, bruised pear and a touch of milk chocolate at first, before a prickle of baking spice rises.
Palate: Cinnamon, coriander seed and liquorice, with lots of dried fruit. Custard, black cherry and Seville orange bring depth among a hint of toasted almond.
Finish: Drying and spicy.
