This is a 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Glen Scotia distillery in the Campbeltown region, launched in 2015 as part of a new design for their range. Specially selected American oak casks are used to age it, which compliments this softly coastal whisky quite well with the fruit to the fore.
Nose: There's lots of rich apricot jam fruit, bits of tangerine and apple pie. Whiffs of sea breeze and baking spices develop after a minute.
Taste: Vanilla and fruit. Ginger and cinnamon give it a slight dryness.
Finish: Quite long with lingering spices.
